GOOD DAY IS SUCH
which is glad to turn a blind eye
to its unsleeping

GOOD NIGHT IS SUCH
which doesn’t get a wink of sleep
above its sleeping

DURING THE WHOLE LIFE I MAKE DECISIONS
between the church and the pub
in a firm belief
that when I die
god will decide in the right way

WHEN WE LOOK, WITHIN IDEAS, AT LIVE
from the other side
whether we like it or not
it is evil

PUNCTUALITY IS A PRIVILEGE OF KINGS
and the queens also come
five minutes after
I tell this every time
to my sweetheart
but she is only smiling
with her eyes crying:
let the republic live

TO LOVE IN MAY
to talk about love
at Christmas
to go to church
at Easter –
it is a cliché
but not to love in may
not to talk about love
at Christmas
and not to go to church
at Easter –

only when I finished
my thesis
in Ostrava
and defended it in Košice
I understood why:

I got an image of the lord
